Preview
=======

*Preview* displays :doc:`reports <DEXiIntPreview>` created by
:doc:`DEXi <DEXi>`. You can view these reports and optionally print
them, save on files or copy individual pages for transfer to other
applications (such as Microsoft Word).

The toolbar, which is displayed at the top of Preview, provides the
following buttons and controls:

**Page status**: Displays the current page number and total number of
pages.

|Previous page| and **PgUp**: Shows the previous page.

|Next page| and **PgDn**: Shows the next page.

**Zoom**: Controls the magnification of display.

|Print| **Print**: Prints the report.

|Page setup| **Page setup**: Opens a dialog to define page size,
orientation, and margins.

|Save report| **Save**: Saves the current report on file. The available
formats are: 'Text File (\*.txt)', 'Tab-delimited File (\*.tab)', 'Html
File' (\*.html), 'Enhanced Metafile (\*.emf)', and 'Bitmap (\*.bmp)'.
The former three save the entire report, while the latter two save only
the current page.

|Copy| **Copy**: Copies the current page to clipboard for its transfer
to other applications. The page is saved in two formats, 'Windows
Metafile' and 'Enhanced Metafile'.

|View report in browser| **View report in browser**: Converts the report
to html and opens it in a browser. The browser can be either
:doc:`internal <DEXiIntBrowser>` or external, depending on
:ref:`Settings/Report <DEXiIntSett_rpt>`.

|Close| **Close**: Closes the current preview and returns back to
:doc:`DEXi <DEXi>`.
